By downloading this toolkit, you accept the license agreement below.
MD5 is a set of scripts that try to make the filesystem modes more
secure. It does this by removing group and world write permissions of
all files, devices, and directories listed in /var/sadm/install/contents,
with the exception of those listed in exceptions.h.
The source and pre-compiled versions of FixModes are made available to
be integrated into the Solaris Security Toolkit available at
license.html The pre-compiled
FixModes.tar should be placed in the Packages directory and the
install-fix-modes.fin script added to the appropriate driver.
The script has been tested under Solaris 2.2-8 Operating Environment and will purposely fail
on other releases.
Sun does not support the files.
DISTRIBUTION: Only Sun Microsystems, Inc. ("Sun") or an authorized
Sun VAR may distribute the file in any form. Once a party other
than Sun or an authorized Sun VAR is in possession of the file, it may
not further distribute the file, either directly or indirectly,
in any form, modified, original, or otherwise, to any third party.
LICENSE GRANT: Sun hereby grants a non-exclusive, non-transferable
and royalty free license to use, reproduce, and modify the files for
the following internal purposes only (no license is granted for any
other purpose):

1. Your internal research use;
2. Your internal evaluation of the files;
3. Your internal use only, for the purposes
of running your business or otherwise.
Other than the licenses expressly granted in this license grant, Sun
retains all right, title, and interest in the files.
