License Agreement
By downloading this toolkit, you accept the license agreement below.
The Solaris™ Security Toolkit is a
tool designed to assist in creation and deployment of secured
Solaris™ Operating Environment systems. The Toolkit is comprised of a
set of scripts and directories implementing the recommendations
made in the Sun BluePrints OnLine program.
These scripts can be executed on Solaris Operating Environment systems through the JumpStart™
technology or directly from the command line. The Toolkit includes
scripts to harden, patch, and minimize Solaris Operating Environment systems.
Sun supports the Toolkit when used on Solaris 9 Operating Environment systems. The Solaris Operating Environment configuration
resulting from the Toolkit execution is supported on all Solaris Operating Environment versions.
DISTRIBUTION: Only Sun Microsystems, Inc. ("Sun") or an authorized
Sun VAR may distribute the Toolkit in any form. Once a party other
than Sun or an authorized Sun VAR is in possession of the Toolkit, it may
not further distribute the Toolkit, either directly or indirectly,
in any form, modified, original, or otherwise, to any third party.
LICENSE GRANT: Sun hereby grants a non-exclusive, non-transferable
and royalty free license to use, reproduce, and modify the Toolkit for
the following internal purposes only (no license is granted for any
other purpose):

1. Your internal research use;
2. Your internal evaluation of the Toolkit;
3. Your internal use only, for the purposes
of running your business or otherwise.
Other than the licenses expressly granted in this license grant, Sun
retains all right, title, and interest in the Toolkit.
DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES: THIS TOOLKIT IS OFFERED "AS IS" AND
"WITH ALL FAULTS" AND WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND WHATSOEVER.
SUN DISCLAIMS, AND USERS OF THE TOOLKIT WAIVE, ANY AND ALL EXPRESS
OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES AND REPRESENTATIONS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED
TO ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR
PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMET. THE TOOLKIT IS TO BE USED AT YOUR OWN
RISK.
NO LIABILITY: IN NO EVENT SHALL SUN BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT,
INDIRECT, PUNITIVE, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGE
IN CONNECTION WITH OR ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF THE TOOLKIT
(INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, LOSS OF BUSINESS, REVENUE, PROFITS,
USE, DATA, OR OTHER ECONOMIC ADVANTAGE) HOWEVER IT ARISES, WHETHER
FOR BREACH OR IN TORT, EVEN IF SUN HAS BEEN PREVIOUSLY ADVISED OF THE
POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE.
