V2.4.1f Patch Release Notes

This Patch Release Notes contain descriptions of bug fixes from maintenance 
release v2.4.1a to v2.4.1f.  Please refer to v2.4.1 Release Notes for 
complete changes from v2.4.0 to v2.4.1

CONTENTS

1. BUG FIXED IN FABRIC OS 2.4.1b

Problem description:

In a large Remote Switch configuration with all ports populated, after a power outage
disrulting the ATM link the switch may occasionally not completely initialize the E-port
connecting the Remote Switch.

Problem resolution:

PLEASE INSTALL v2.4.1b ON BOTH SWITCHES IN THE FABRIC.



2. BUG FIXED IN FABRIC OS 2.4.1c

Problem description:

Fabric opmode setting to select the 256-PID format for all 24 bit PID assignments was 
incorrect.  Default setting to use the existing 24 bit PID format is compatible with
all other Brocade switches.

Problem resolution:

The opmode setting has been corrected, and if selected shall be compatible with all 
other Brocade switches running with the new 24 bit PID format assignment rule.

Note:

The default PID format setting should be used as this format is compatible with all
existing Brocade switches.  No configuration change is required.  This setting is not 
required at this time.


3. BUG FIXED IN FABRIC OS 2.4.1d


Problem description: In an extremely large fabric a switch can exceed the number of
exchanges available.

Problem resolution: Change the number of exchanges available.

   Description of Fixed Bug: Exceeded number of exchanges.

 BUGS FIXED IN FABRIC OS 2.4.1e

1. Bug ID: 004646

Problem Description: The last ACK of a Class 2 Request is getting Rejected (P_RJT) with "Invalid RxID". This occurs when the Exchange is freed before the last ACK is received or processed.

Problem Resolution: The Exchange will not be schedule to be freed for E_D_TOV seconds.


2. Bug ID: 004451

Problem Decripition: Switch will reboot with switch "fault" if the FabricWatch table becomes corrupt.

Problem Resolution: Exclusive write lock have been implemented to prevent FabricWatch Table corruption.

1. Bug ID: 005143

Problem Description:  supporting  port level zoning  with higher port numbers.

Problem Resolution: Changes made to support higher port count.


2. Bug ID: 005680

Problem Decripition: In a large fabric reconfiguration an edge switch may not see the entire fabric.

Problem Resolution: fix to fabric discovery.


3. Bug ID: 005713

Problem Decripition: Recurring  LIP on Host port when Fabric Assist is enable.

Problem Resolution: Coordinate  LIP process between Host and port.


4. Bug ID: 006064

Problem Description: ELP in remote switch should accept any BB_Credit value.

Problem Resolution: The ELP's exchanged for remote switch operation is able to handle any  BB_Credit Value.


5. Bug ID: 006271

Problem Description: Not all entries appear in the phantom table in an FA zone.

Problem Resolution: Changes were made to  correct table space.


6. Bug ID: 006412

Problem Decripition: ELS  RNID and LIRR reject codes.

Problem Resolution: Response of ELS has been corrected to provide proper reject reason code.
