The SUNBEsdm package contains a ksh script that simplifies the methods for putting a system disk under Solstice DiskSuite™ software control. It includes mirroring, hot sparing, setting up a contingency disk, and OBP aliases. The SUNBEsdm package was tested on the Solaris™ 8 Operating Environment with Solstice DiskSuite software version 4.2.1.


Sun does not support the script.


DISTRIBUTION: Only Sun Microsystems, Inc. ("Sun") or an authorized Sun VAR may distribute the script in any form. Once a party other than Sun or an authorized Sun VAR is in possession of the script it may not further distribute the script either directly or indirectly, in any form, modified, original, or otherwise, to any third party.

LICENSE GRANT: Sun hereby grants a non-exclusive, non-transferable and royalty free license to use, reproduce, and modify the script for the following internal purposes only (no license is granted for any other purpose):

1. Your internal research use;
2. Your internal evaluation of the script;
3. Your internal use only, for the purposes of running your business or otherwise.

Other than the licenses expressly granted in this license grant, Sun retains all right, title, and interest in the script.
