Well, if you read that bug report, firefox/thunderbird simply expose a 
bug, which exists in many preload libraries and libc_ut.so is among them.

These libraries violate some of the guarantees that POSIX gives for 
certain system functions they intercept.

So it ought to be possible to fix this in SRSS.
