I agree that this must a be a bug in ustoraged. Since this is a library
there are hundreds of people using usb sticks on these
terminals daily I expected some problems with newer (larger) devices,
but not with older device (like the kingston drive I
am using for testing). I have also discovered some problems that don't
appear to be caused by the get capacity problem in
utstoraged, sometimes when usb stick is connected the system recognizes
it ok, but for some reason utmound tries to mount
the whole disk (utdisk1) while it should mount the partition
(utdisk1p1). Of course both block devices exist in the unit tmp dir .
Naturally it fails and gives 'FAT: invalid media value (0x01)'. I have
created a temp workaround by running a script that
sleeps and checks if there are any new block devices available that are
not mounted (all DTU-s are running in kiosk mode
connecting to a Windows TS so my users have no access to do this
themselves).

I agree again, there si noting I can do to further debug or resolve this
issue by myself.
