David,

There has been one other place that I know of with a similar problem  
with Type 7 kbds.  They seemed to find that if you plug the mouse  
directly into the SR2, you could wake the system with the mouse, but  
still not with the keyboard.  This is just a temporary work-around.

As far as I have been able to find, this only happens in CAM mode and  
is related to a problem with the xscreensaver.  The reason it doesn't  
happen with JDS is that the screensaver app was re-written by Sun.
