why not modifying files from firefox distribution?
for example, using firefox from Blastwave, i modified the files:
sr12-henry% find /opt/csw/mozilla/firefox/lib/ -name "*.ori"
/opt/csw/mozilla/firefox/lib/defaults/pref/firefox.js.ori
/opt/csw/mozilla/firefox/lib/defaults/profile/bookmarks.html.ori
/opt/csw/mozilla/firefox/lib/greprefs/all.js.ori
/opt/csw/mozilla/firefox/lib/browserconfig.properties.ori
not sure bookmarks.html is the right place to go, but i think there is
another file that contains default favorites, isn't it?
